Visit from the Rotary Club - June 2018

We were delighted to welcome representatives of the Rotary Club in June, who presented dictionaries to our Year 6 leavers.

Supporting charities in 2018

Each year our school community works hard to raise funds for various charitable causes.  In addition to raising money for Cafod at Christmas, we also held 'Fundraising Fridays' during Lent.  Each of our houses chose a charity to support and also decided how they would like to raise money:

  • St. Thomas More house raised money for Cafod by having a 'mis-matched mufti' day
  • There was a competition to name the cuddly toys organised by St. Alban house to support Sussex Autism Support
  • To mark fifteen years of Chestnut Tree house running, St. Philip Howard house chose to have a 15 minute dance session in the hall to raise funds for seriously ill children and their families
  • St. Anne Line house chose to support 'Operation Smile', a charity that provides medical care and life-changing operations for children with cleft palates.  There was a competition for the best joke, and we created an English Martyrs Joke Book that we sold for £1.00
