School Meals

At English Martyrs Catholic Primary School, we believe that a healthy, nutritious meal is an important part of the school day. Lunchtimes provide children with an opportunity to refuel, socialise with friends and enjoy a positive dining experience, helping them to return to the classroom ready to learn.

Our school meals are provided by ISS Education (FEED), who offer a range of freshly prepared, balanced meals that meet national school food standards. Each day, children can choose from a variety of options, including vegetarian choices, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. Menus are carefully planned to provide a balance of flavours and nutrients, supporting children's health, wellbeing and ability to learn.

Ordering School Meals

School meals are ordered through the FEED App (powered by Kanpla). The app allows parents and carers to:

  • View the current school menu
  • Pre-order meals for their child
  • Make payments where required
  • Access allergen and dietary information
  • Manage meal choices quickly and easily

Parents and carers can access the system using the links below:

If you require support with setting up your account or ordering meals, please contact the school office and we will be happy to help.

Universal Infant Free School Meals

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal every day through the Government's Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme.

Free School Meals

Some families may also be eligible for means-tested Free School Meals. Even if your child is already receiving Universal Infant Free School Meals, registering may provide additional funding for the school to support your child's education. You can check online if you think your child may be eligible:

Alternatively, please ask in the office - we are always happy to support.

Special Dietary Requirements

ISS Education (FEED) can cater for many dietary, allergy and medical requirements. If your child has any food allergies, intolerances or specific dietary needs,  please ensure that this information is recorded through the FEED/Kanpla system. It is also really important that you let the school know (this can be recorded via the My Child At School app) so that we can all work together to ensure appropriate arrangements are in place.

Packed Lunches & Snacks

Children may also bring a healthy packed lunch from home. We encourage balanced lunchboxes that support healthy lifestyles and provide children with the energy they need for a busy day of learning, play and enrichment activities.

For information about snacks, please see our policy section.

Our Aim

We want lunchtime to be a positive experience for every child. Whether children choose a school meal or bring a packed lunch from home, our aim is for them to enjoy healthy food, spend time with friends, have a fun and active playtime and return to the classroom happy, settled and ready to learn.
