Parent Feedback
We always want to be the best we can be for our children, our families and our wider community. An important part of this is listening to parents and understanding what is working well, as well as where we could make things even better.
We regularly ask families to share their views through parent surveys and other opportunities for feedback. We look carefully at what parents tell us, celebrate the things they value and use their comments to help shape our next steps.
Below, you can read the findings from our most recent parent surveys. Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond. Your views really do matter to us.
Playtime survey Summer 2026
Our Summer 2026 parent survey gave us a really positive starting point after introducing some 'quick wins' to improve play opportunities at lunch and break times.
- 43 families of children already at the school and 7 families whose children were about to start completed the survey.
- “Brilliant” was the most common description of playtime, chosen by 22 children.
- A further 13 children described playtime as “good”.
- Overall, more than four out of five children said that their playtimes were good or brilliant.
Parents told us that they value play for children’s friendships, physical development, imagination, confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing. Families also shared plenty of ideas and offers of practical support as our OPAL provision develops.
We are delighted that children already enjoy their playtimes so much, and excited about making even more of our wonderful grounds and extending the range of play available to every child. For more information, please look at our OPAL page in the 'Belonging, Wellbeing and Wider Opportunities' tab.
Parent survey October 2025
We were really proud of the positive feedback received in our annual parent survey in October 2025. The governing body carefully reviews the responses to understand what families feel is working well and where further development may be helpful. This feedback gives governors valuable insight into the school’s effectiveness and helps inform its future priorities and strategic direction. A summary of the findings, shared via the newsletter, are as follows:
